General Discussion / Re: Easter

Of course, after Church, we're going to bring the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt in the afternoon. Before that, we have to color the eggs. The one who gathers the most eggs wins a chick (young chicken).

Ever experienced literally breaking a leg after a football game? Happened to me a month ago! Thank goodness the leg's fine now.

Oh, and speaking of unicorns:

If I'm not drinking tea, I would drink coffee. Whenever I go to coffee shops, I would buy anything Mocha-flavored. I usually purchase iced coffee when I go in coffee shops.

Coffee does a lot of good and bad things to me, though more on the good side...

If you really want to help somebody, then why not donate your kidney (provided that it is compatible to the other)? In the first place, reading your post alone seems that you are prepared to take risks to save lives. You really should do what you think is good.

I had a friend who hated his brother. When his brother visited him, my friend was shocked to find out that he is going into renal failure. He was in a no-win situation at that time. To get things straight to the point, I told the brother in his presence: "He's family. If you can't count on family, who the hell can you count on?"

If I'm in your position, I'd say the same thing, as a friend.

I hope I made sense.

I think changing the file names would do although the contest is already on its midway, and to make things better (and more challenging), you should add a few more pumpkins at random places in the forum or add notes that say "this pumpkin is not counted".

@Merlan: I think it's very easy to remove the pumpkin images. After all, once you give them the links, you don't need to search for them anymore. :D

Yeah, especially we're talking about medicine and surgery here. For me, a person inclined in the linguistics and the humanities, I find such things to be so trivial. =D I don't know why. It must be the terms.

General Discussion / Academics and Careers
« on: June 04, 2011, 04:57:59 AM »
For those in college, what degree are you currently pursuing in college and what career plans do you have once you've graduated? If you've already graduated feel free to share as well. I ask because I (and probably some other fresh graduates) will be entering a new stage in their lives and I for one would like to pursue my dreams. I also became curious of what you would like to become.

Allow me to begin.

I am now an undergraduate English Language Studies major and I am to pursue for my AB English degree in four years. After graduating, I will be taking up education units for me to be eligible to take the teachers' licensure exams. I also plan to continue my academics on a Masteral track on English Language and Literature and then move on for a PhD track focusing on either Literature, Linguistics or anything that is related to my undergraduate degree. I might do post-grad studies in other countries.

In my sophomore year, I'll be taking up one of the National Service Training Programs (requirement for graduation) in the uni, namely the Literacy Training Service in which I will be a part in providing non-formal education to those outside the metro. I will also be applying a part-time job as a tutor (preferably in English) and will also be taking the Sub-Professional Civil Service Exams.

I have many aspirations for my career, mainly to become an educator in either a High School or in college. I also plan to continue my writing hobbies and drown myself in the media.

How about you?  :D

In-Game Discussions / Re: Favourite character
« on: June 04, 2011, 04:44:24 AM »
I think the Wooden Sign is one good minor character. XD I'm referring to the one at the Verda Grove.

For a major character, I don't really want to say who at this point. The game is still in development, and there might be many more characters to come along the way. However, I have a feeling that Hawk would be someone cool. :D I'm thinking that he might be like Balthier from FFXII, only he isn't a leading man. :p
