The new contest subforum
« on: September 06, 2011, 12:10:39 PM »

:D~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Contests and Events~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :D

Hi everyone!  As you can see, we've added a new subforum for official contests and special events!  Here you'll be able to find things like the upcoming art contest, organizing an IRC or Skype meet-up, a possible Leeble avatar creation contest, iSketch, etc.

Special Forum Events: Anyone can create a thread to suggest and discuss these things.  If you have an interesting idea for a community meet-up, game, or event, please feel free to let us know by starting a new topic!

Contests: The contests you can find here are official forum contests, so if you're interested in starting one, you'll need to get it approved by an Admin first before starting a topic.

This is going to make this place an even better community, and you know it, hehe.
Other than that, I look forward to see what contests and events will appear here.

I think it's appropriate for Shigi's and Pat's mafia threads to be moved here.

Mafia can stay in the Games section.  The kinds of games you might find here would be ones that require organizing some sort of off-site meet-up.  For example: a round of iSketch, hosting a Minecraft server, a game of L4D, etc.

Also, a big thanks to Pat for suggesting that we start this new section ^_^  He's going to be organizing the Leeble avatar contest, so stay tuned...

She speaks truth. I was silently plotting it. Hehe. I'm kidding, of course. It seemed like a good idea.

  hosting a Minecraft server
That would be awesome! Although ive tried to make a server but my retarded computer doesn't download java 6 sooooo... I can't do it.
I just hope it isnt PvP im bad at that :).
Survival servers are fun and maybe we can make it a survival-building server.

199 more subscribers to go before I announce the art contest publicly... I'm really excited about it!

As previously announced, we're going to be holding an art contest here!  It will officially start once I hit 10,000 subscribers on youtube (which will hopefully be pretty soon).  But for anyone who would like to start thinking about it now, this is the topic: Insert Aero (the most well-known Leeble from Melolune) into a game of your choice.  How you choose to do this is entirely up to you... You could have Aero sitting on a Companion Cube, eating a 1-UP mushroom, fighting alongside a Hydralisk, whatever you like!  Any medium is welcome (pixel art, watercolor, sketches, etc.)  Just make sure to keep it clean and family-friendly (nothing pornographic, profane, overly violent, etc.).

The winners will receive a signed copy of the Plants vs. Zombies Game of the Year Edition (that comes with a little zombie figurine), and an assortment of fun PvZ swag which will be announced later.  We'll have one random winner, and one winner that is chosen by us... I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!  There are so many talented artists here that I'm sure it will be great :)
